4 seasons vivaldi4/4/2023 ![]() ![]() The program incorporates seasonal images and sounds spectacular, without constraining the imagination. The most important factor that renders its popularity is the fact that it incorporates the basic human elements – the passage of time, the cycle of years and nature. ![]() It is full of glistening and brilliant sonorities, ingenious innovations with vivid solo lines capturing the essence of nature. From credit cards to cars, billboards, elevators to hotel lobbies, and even to mobile phone ringtones, their popularity continues to soar.Īt a basic level, "The Four Seasons" is extraordinarily authentic, an association with profound elegance and luxury. They have been featured multiple times in TV commercials and Hollywood movies. The most eminent violinists have recorded it more than a hundred times. The Present Scenarioįast-forwarding half a century, the four concertos can now be safely considered as the single greatest sensation of classical music. The final movement offers people outdoors walking down icy paths, while people inside houses feeling the relentless chill finding its way inside. The middle movement portrays the pleasure of getting warm inside through a crackling fire. The concertos end with “L’inverno” or “Winter.” The opening movement resembles a shivering person, stamping his feet in rhythm to stay warm. The final movement illustrates a “hunt,” taking us back to a 14th-century Italian genre, “Caccia” - where songs were utilized to glorify hunts via voice canons. The tempo drops significantly, in parallel to the peaceful sleep that engulfs the people. The country folk rejoice once again, celebrating the harvest by drinking wine. “L’autunno” or “Autumn,” makes a return to the clarity resembling “Spring,” with similar musical themes in the first movements. The most striking moment is served in the third movement, as a hail storm mercilessly rains down, offering a perfect contrast. The air is almost at a standstill, the birds chirping away lazily until a breeze gathers up, whipping the warning of an imminent storm. The “L’estate” or “Summer,” offers a slow start, portraying the weather as too hot for any movement. The movement ends with a lively country dance, with inhabitants celebrating the return of the fauna and flora after a harsh winter. It is invaded by a sudden thunderstorm, but the singing birds soon regain dominance. “Spring” or “La primavera,” starts with the clarity and crispness of a typical spring day, accompanied by the choirs of birds and streams. The concertos offer their own musical exhibition through all players, the soloists burning the brightest. It can, therefore, be classified as “programmatic.” The Movements Spring Each sonnet (in this case each season) in “The Four Seasons” can be divided into three sections, each corresponding to a movement. This somewhat made sense as Vivaldi, with his numerous concertos, “The Four Seasons” in particular, exemplified the typical concerto form.Ī typical concerto consists of three movements – a slow middle movement contrasting the lively first and third. The names of the originator of these sonnets remain questionable, although most historians credit Vivaldi for them. He named it “The Contest of Harmony and Invention,” or “Il cimento dell’armonia e dell’inventione.” Apart from harboring inspiration from the seasons, the concertos were influenced by a set of four sonnets crafted about summer, winter, autumn, and spring. It was Vivaldi’s 8 th opus among a set of 12. The ConcertiĪ timeless masterpiece, the concerti were first introduced in 1725. He was appointed as the “Conservatoire D irector” there and being a supremely skilled violinist, blossomed. The composer’s interest in crafting concertos can be linked to “Ospedale della Piera,” a home for illegitimate and orphaned girls which specializes in teaching music. The majority of these “solo concerti” were crafted for the violin (#220), which wasn’t very surprising given his strong background in violin. During this 40-year tenure, he crafted over 450 concertos. The orchestra at the conservatory maintained a high-standard under his direction, with weekly concerts being held featuring the creme de la crème of the students. Antonio utilized the violin as the sole instrument in “The Four Seasons.” Origin The generalized views suggest concertos as a conversation between – a solo instrument or multiple solo instruments and a wider ensemble. Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” or “Le quattro stagioni” in Italian is a set of four concertos. His works ooze the perfection of the 17 th -century Italian opera and concerto formats. The Four Seasons: A Timeless Masterpiece by Antonio VivaldiĪntonio Vivaldi is a genius and truly stands out as the most creative among the host of composers who brought the Italian Baroque style to its zenith. ![]()

Bless unleashed class tier list4/3/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My Harvest itself also sets up a 20% HP Bulwark, so at most Adra can only hope to take off 10% of the foe's actual HP bar this way. Not only does her team still gain 1 MP, they also take only a net 5% fractional damage from Adra's effect (he deals 30% fractional, then Demeter responds with 25% fractional Bulwarks). Sun God's Majesty doesn't really counter Demeter's 2 MP restore from My Harvest!.High AGI makes him awkward to fit into slow teams, more or less mandating Epitome of Endurance.Paired with his passable VIT-stat and innate Fire Survivor, this makes him surprisingly bulky, especially if Epitome of Endurance is transferred. To cap it off, Sun God's Majesty gives him +20% Max HP if fully levelled. With Panel 2 unlocked, it further chains into a 3-turn Debilitate, literally swinging every buff by himself for free. But wait, there's more! Sun God's Majesty also provides a 3-turn Luster Candy at the start of battle, aiding you in winning the buff war. When combined with Sacrificial Inferno's colossal Base Power (which also ignores Endures), Adramelech can easily nuke down any target he chooses. In addition, Sun God's Majesty provides him Fire Pierce and more importantly +25% to Fire damage - this gives him a whopping +60% to Fire damage in Purple, even with ZERO transfers and ZERO panels. This makes him an incredibly strong counter to MP-batteries like Alice A, Angra Mainyu and Beelzebub☆. Sun God's Majesty punishes any form of MP restore, burning 1 MP and dealing 30% Fractional damage to their entire team, while also renewing Barriers for your team.- Added demons up to Elohim and began work on buffs and P4 updates.- Added Nyarlathotep, and corrected various typos and mistakes on recent entries.Significant rating adjustments to existing demons. - Added Echidna, Ladon and Futsunushi and Adramelech. You can only obtain this demon by pulling from their seasonal banners. David bull moku hanga4/3/2023 ![]() ![]() I will make every effort to reveal their obscurities as much as possible through my fact-finding research. Please get in touch whenever you may have any question on carvers or printers listed here. I wish you could make best use of this directory not only as a reference tool but also as a good reminder of their significant contribution to authentic Japanese woodblock prints world in admiration. They didn't always take part in shin hanga prints but they should be certainly associated with each other through their authentic craftsmanship. As I could list up as many as 775 carvers and 1165 printers, I believe this directory might cover more than 90% of craft persons who actually engaged in Japanese woodblock carving and printing community from mid-1870's through 2000. The first time, I am very pleased to disclose this " New Comprehensive Directory of Shin Hanga Carvers & Printers" here at. Now that I have compiled a bunch of data on carvers and printers for Reference articles, I had no motivation to attempt this kind of challenging research project. I highly evaluate all those authors' preceding efforts on keeping records of many a craft person in writing and/or by image. David Bull, who kindly gave me a copy list of contemporary craft persons belonging to Tokyo Dento Mokuhanga Kogei Kyokai. I want to express my sincere thanks to various published books andĮxhibition catalogs on Japanese woodblock prints including several key reportsĪt websites because I could refer and verify the active periods of pendingĬarvers and printers. published by Japan Ukiyo-e Society in 1980-1981, Tokyo. 65, 68, 70 of "Ukiyo-e Geijutsu (Journal of Japan Ukiyo-e Society)" Takagi Shoji, Ex-Director of Ukiyo-e Preservation Association. (4) Woodblock Carvers & Printers Community in Early Showa Era privately published by Kyoto Hangain Institute in 1966. at pages 93-227 of the captioned booklet for commemorating late artisans (3) Authentic Woodblock Artisans Directory from 17 th through 20 th century at pages 71-100 of "Nihon Hanga Binran ( Bijutsu Zenshu Supplement)" (2) Carvers & Printers Directory in Kanto Region (with Genealogical Trees) in ![]() published by Kisho Fukusei Kai in 1925, Tokyo. at pages 351-370 of "Hanga Reisan (Adoration for Woodblock Print)" (1) Genealogical Trees of Carvers & Printers in 1922 As far as I checked, those articles should be the best database published in Japan so that we could trace their personal background of carvers and printers. In the meantime I happened to find four very informative reference articles as follows. Much more attention should be paid to such craft persons' skilled contribution when we discuss Japanese woodblock prints. I had been long researching on such anonymous carvers and printers that really accomplished a lot of masterpieces of so-called shin hanga prints in the early twentieth century and their qualified successors as well. But it was very rare for you to identify both carver and printer by their full names besides acknowledged publisher and artist for your favorite woodblock prints. Shin Hanga Carvers and Printers - IntroductionĪs you might know well, it had been said that authentic Japanese woodblock prints were the fruits of joint efforts by publisher, artist, carver, printer and other relevant craft persons. There is a certain amount of subjectivity when choosing carving tools because everyone's hand is a little different so what's comfortable for one person might not be for another - Articles - Shin Hanga Carvers and Printers - Introduction. Josei Moku Hanga To: I think these are the best tools available for the price. My favorites are the versatile 6.0 mm "V" gouge and the big 10.5 mm "U" gouge for clearing large areas of wood or lino. My favorites are the 6.0 mm and 9.0 mm "U" tools. I prefer the "U" gouges over the "V" gouges. Power Grip : you can get a nice set of Power Grip tools for between $20-$50. One downside of this tool is that it's best used on linoleum and soft "rubber" carving blocks (like Speedy Carve and MOO Carve), not wood. I find the small "V" gouge indispensable. Speedball Linoleum Cutter: While some printmakers might consider this mearly a beginner's tool, I love it and use it all the time when carving linoleum. It includes a Speedball Linoleum Cutter, a couple Power Grip "U" gouges and numerous Josei Moku Hanga To tools of different sizes. My preferred set of tools is an assortment of different brands that balance cost and quality. ![]()

1800 margarita4/3/2023 ![]() ![]() No matter which hot pepper you choose, remember that the skin will give you more of a vegetal flavour, while the seeds will give you more heat. If you want to give your Margarita some heat, then skip the incendiary Habanero, and instead opt for the less fiery Jalapeno. Some favourites to add are Passionfruit, Mango puree, and just about any kind of berry. You can also add a few pieces of watermelon to your shaker, which works beautifully. After all, it’s an easy way to give the drink a signature flavour. Many bars and restaurants put their own spin on the drink by adding a variety of fruits, herbs, and spices. Just remember, if you go this route, use less than you would use of the simple syrup and if you can dilute it a little in warm water to improve the mixability. ![]() If you would prefer, simple syrup can easily be replaced with more complex sweeteners such as Agave Nectar, Molasses, or Honey. While it can, of course, be made without it, expect the result to be a little less bright and taste a little thinner than with it. ![]() The SweetenerĪdding a little simple syrup to your Margarita recipe can improve the mouthfeel of the drink. After 10 hours, the juice will lose some of its aromas, and after a day, there is a noticeable and unpleasant bitterness. But keep in mind that longer isn’t necessarily better. If you want to remove some of the harsh acidity of Lime Juice, then squeeze them a couple of hours before you intend to use them.Īgeing the juice for even a couple of hours will give it a more mellow taste, allowing the top notes to pop a little more. Now we’re not going to state the obvious and remind you that fresh is always best, but we will give you a tip about ageing your lime juice a little. Instead, we recommend that you use Cointreau to achieve the right balance in your drink. You don’t want a cheap orange liqueur or triple sec. It’s hard to argue that the thing that makes a Margarita such a classic is the use of Orange Liqueur, but as we were saying earlier with the Tequila, quality is the key here as well. While not all Mezcals are Tequila, all Tequilas are Mezcal, so don’t feel you can’t use a good quality Mezcal to give this classic a splash of smokiness. Although you can use an Añejo and Extra Añejo, we wouldn’t recommend it, as it is often a little too refined to mix with citrus. Reposado, which is a Tequila that has been aged for between two months and a year in oak barrels, can also make a good choice. While a Blanco Tequila is the traditional expression used to make a margarita, as it gives a true agave flavour, it is not the only choice. ![]() never) buy an agave spirit that contains a worm. Lastly (and we shouldn’t have to tell you this) but never (we repeat. And don’t let the price fool you, Tequila is one of those spirits where price doesn’t dictate quality. The main rule to keep in mind is that you should always use a tequila that is 100 percent blue agave. With drinks like the Margarita, which has so few ingredients, this point of particular importance. It doesn’t matter what cocktail you are making, we would always encourage you to use good quality spirits as your base. So let’s break this racy ‘rita down and go through each ingredient and see how they should each be used. While we’ve explored the various versions of this cocktail’s history before, today we want to return to the present and make some suggestions to help you ‘up your Margarita game’. Now, while you could easily argue (quite rightfully) that the Margarita is simply a tequila Sidecar (with lime instead of lemon), the various stories of its birth are as vibrant as the drink itself. Now, while the Margarita may be one of the world’s most popular cocktails, the drink’s origin story is a little tangled. What we do know is that this Mexican beauty, came into being in the 1930s or 1940, but the first mention in print of a Margarita cocktail is in the December 1953 issue of Esquire magazine. Yep, you guessed it, it’s Margarita Day! So if you are anything like us, you’ll spend the day with Tequila in one hand and Cointreau in the other. In case you haven’t got it marked in your calendar, tomorrow is one of the best cocktail holidays on the planet. Pin It By: Tiff Christie |February 21,2023 ![]()
